I'd like to run until it's impossible

Personal:

I've been running since I was 11, but mostly just for pleasure.  For some reason, I have absolutely no competitive drive.  I'd like to get one.

I'm married to a non-runner, but a supportive one, and have two young boys.

I coach boys and girls cross country and have coached for 8 years.

Running is not my number one priority.  Like everyone else on this blog, I wear a lot of hats:  Catholic, mother, wife, teacher, coach, student, runner.  At this point in my family life, and probably until I'm done having kids and they are able to come with me on runs, running can only happen when circumstances permit.  Luckily they usually do.

Ran in Chicago today.  Saw another woman 3 times on my run--had just enough time to figure out that we're both running the Chicago marathon.

I had a baptism today, had limited time to run, but I'm okay with what I got in.  This run felt easy.  When I first started I wasn't in a running mood, but after I stopped for a bathroom break (during which I went to the bathroom and then helped Chuck with the kids) I felt better.  By the time I was done, I wished that I hadn't put off my run for 1/2 hour while I supposedly digested, but really was just dragging my feet.

Oh well.  Coulda, shoulda, woulda...didn't.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda got out a little earlier. But at least you got out and ran.

I enjoy seeing other runners.

When is the Chicago marathon? (I could figure it out, but I'll just ask you.)

Thanks for the encouragement. I have a tendency to beat myself up when I don't get in as much mileage as I planned, especially since most of the time it's because I'm dragging my feet!

Chicago is October 12. About a month left. I think I just need to be confident that I'm ready to run it--I think I am but it's getting harder to get mileage in!

But FYI, your comments are helpful! Thank you!
